Maintenance Operative - Central London

Job Opportunity: Maintenance Technician

Location: 2 Sites - Bethnal Green and Islington
Salary: £32,000 £35,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our Operations Team, supporting residential properties in Islington and Bethnal Green. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure our buildings are kept in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical repairs, and general building upkeep.
• Respond to both urgent and non-urgent maintenance issues
• Liaise with resident services manager and property manager to ensure everything is in working order
• On call emergency requirements if needed/necessary
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from residents and management.
• Supervise and coordinate with contractors, ensuring all work meets high standards.
• Keep work areas and storage spaces clean and organised.
• Water, fire alarm and other H&S checks

Additional Details:

• No driver's license or personal vehicle required.
• All necessary tools will be provided on-site.
• Parking is available at each location.
• Expenses for Maidenhead site visits covered

Experience:

• Prior residential maintenance experience mandatory
• Joinery, carpentry, painting and decorating skills desirable
• Have fantastic customer facing skills
• Be a friendly, professional and courteous individual
• Passionate about personal appearance, presentation and conduct
• Comply with policies and procedures
