Masterfix, the central London based maintenance, compliance and projects contractor, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Channing as Director.
A block management career going back two decades stands Jonathan in good stead to provide a unique service to property managers. He explains. "It's common for property management professionals to move 'client side' but supplier side is less common. For me, it wasn't a difficult decision to make, not least as I can have a direct, positive impact on how maintenance and compliance is managed and executed having been responsible for these tasks as a property manager".
A fan of social media and property management IT solutions, Jonathan is keen to work closely with other suppliers serving managing agents who are innovative in their approach. "Making it easy for residents to report maintenance issues inside or outside of normal office hours is high up my agenda. Property managers are always very busy so if their maintenance contractor embraces software solutions too, this can only help to streamline individual maintenance, insurance claim and compliance tasks - and that has to lead to happier residents".
Masterfix is a multi trade contractor covering plumbing to roofing, electrical to ex decs, insurance claim reinstatement to gas safety checks.
