A JV between Prospect Capital and Wilcocks & Wilcocks have submitted a planning application for a 147m, 48 storey residential tower which could become Liverpool’s tallest tower.
If approved, Ovatus 2 on Old Hall Street will contain 530 new apartments and plans indicate that it will rise 8 storeys higher than West Tower, the city’s current tallest tower. Ovatus 2 will sit next to similarly designed 27 storey tower, Ovatus 1 which will comprise of 168 apartments. Construction is anticipated to start on Ovatus 1 in April this year.
Hoder+Partners, Indigo Planning, WSP and PlanIt have been involved in the planning of both buildings.
