Enabling works officially started today at the 85 Hectare, Meridian Water site in North London. These initial works to remove oil and other chemicals from the soil will clear the way for the first 725 homes.

Enfield Council have selected Barratt as their main development partner and overall they plan to deliver around 10,000 new homes on the site. Barratt are expected the be granted detailed planning for the first 725 homes later this year, after which primary contractors will be appointed

Construction of the first phase is expected to start in September this year with the first new homes due for delivery in 2019, along with the opening of the new Meridian Water Station
